(KNSI) – Stearns County’s Engineer has been given the 2021 Outstanding County Engineer Award. Engineer Jodi Teich was honored with the highest honor given by the Minnesota County Engineers Association (MCEA). It recognizes outstanding contributions to the Association and excellence in county engineering. Teich became Stearns County’s Engineer in 2012.
According to a press release, she’s served on numerous MCEA committees and served as an officer and President of the Association. Teich is known to be a friend and mentor to her fellow engineers, willing to freely share all her knowledge and wisdom, sometimes late into the evening.
County officials say she has actively promoted broader Minnesota transportation needs and served as the 2021 President of the Minnesota Transportation Alliance Board of Directors. She has also served the Association beyond Minnesota, participating in a White House transportation event in 2020, and currently serves as the National Association of County Engineers Minnesota State Director.
