(KNSI) – The state of Minnesota has filed a lawsuit against two Illinois-based COVID-19 testing companies.
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison filed a lawsuit Wednesday against The Center for COVID Control, LLC and Doctors Clinical Laboratory, Inc.
According to the complaint, the AG’s office received numerous complaints from Minnesotans who tested at one of the eight facilities statewide and never received test results or the test results were falsified or inaccurate.
At a press conference Wednesday, Ellison explained the reason behind the lawsuit.
“These entities collected samples from Minnesotans for COVID-19 testing, but either failed to deliver test results or delivered test results that were false or inaccurate. The Attorney General’s office received numerous complaints from Minnesotans who received COVID-19 tests at these pop-up sites around the state, operated by the Center for COVID Control, and who received test results from the company’s lead associated lab, Doctors Clinical Laboratory, who reported never receiving their test results despite waiting for weeks, or even more, or receiving test results far later than the companies advertised. Some Minnesotans also reported receiving test results from companies despite having never submitted a sample for testing.”
Minnesotans are asked to report their concerns by submitting a complaint here.
