(KNSI) – A man was taken by helicopter to a hospital after a snowmobile crash on the Lake Wobegon Trail in Stearns County.
The sheriff’s office says around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, first responders were called to a crash about a quarter-mile east of State Highway 238 near 360th Street in Albany Township.
Officials say 44-year-old Jason Panek of St. Stephen was heading east on a snowmobile when he left the trail and struck a tree. First responders say he was conscious and appeared to have injuries to his right arm and right leg.
The ambulance brought Panek to Life Link Helicopter, and he was flown to St. Cloud Hospital. A current injury update wasn’t released.
