(KNSI) – A St. Cloud area charity has given away more than $84,000 in grants during its latest round of donations. In August, the Women’sWomen’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation launched their 2021-2022 Central Minnesota Women’sWomen’s Fund and Julianne Williams Fund grant rounds.
Together, the charities donated $84,400 to 14 area organizations focusing on improving the lives of women and girls in Central Minnesota.
“Through their programming, each of these organizations support the well-being, resiliency, abilities and self-determination of women and girls in our community. We are thankful for their dedication to making the St. Cloud region a place in which all can thrive,” says Sonja Gidlow, Chair of the Women’sWomen’s Fund Grants Committee.
The Women’sWomen’s Fund allocated $70,000 to the following:
$8,000 to Crisis Nursery for their Emergency Childcare for Vulnerable Mothers program.
$8,000 to Anna Marie’sMarie’s Alliance to support continued mental health programs.
$4,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota’sMinnesota’s for their Dr. Potter, Bigs on Campus Mentoring program.
$5,000 to Terebinth Refuge for their Aftercare Program.
$8,000 to Victims of Torture in St. Cloud for their programming.
$8,000 to Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity for their Women’sWomen’s Build-Genesis Home.
$7,000 to GREAT Theatre for their Youth Mental Health Devised Theatre Project.
$4,300 to BIO Girls of Sartell and ROCORI area Minnesota.
$2,000 to the Paramount Center for the Arts for their Gift of Stories: Memoirs program.
$7,200 to the Whitney Senior Center for their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion among Elder Women programs.
$8,000 to Veteran Resource and Enrichment Center to enrich the lives of lady veterans/well-being services.
Additionally, the Julianne Williams Fund awarded $14,400 in grants to three organizations.
The grant recipients for the Julianne Williams Fund are as follows:
$4,000 to Terebinth Refuge for their Health and Wellness-Kayaking program.
$5,200 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota for their DateSMART program.
$5,200 to Les Voyagers for their Women’sWomen’s Strength in Leadership programs.
