(KNSI) – St. Cloud hockey fans will “Pack the MAC for Mack” Thursday night as the St Cloud Cathedral Crusaders face off against the St. Cloud Crush.

Tonight’s game is dedicated to the memory of Mack Motzko, a former St. Cloud Crusader killed in a car crash last July.

Emmett Keenan, Athletic Director at St. Cloud Cathedral, says Mack was a leader on and off the ice. “Everything that has been said about Mac is genuine and true. He’s just one of the kindest, nicest, most genuine people that you will ever meet.”

Fans are asked to wear red to the game in memory of Motzko. “Mack was a big golf fan and a big Tiger Woods fan. And of course, Tiger always wore red on Sunday. So red was Mac’s favorite color” said Keenan.

The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off to support the Hugs From Mack Memorial Fund. In addition, a new memorial to Motzko will be dedicated during the game.

Game time Thursday night is 7:15.
