(KNSI) – A Pittsburgh man is accused of blackmailing Wright County teenagers and other underage girls into sending him explicit images and videos.

According to federal prosecutors, 22-year-old Kaung Myat Kyaw has been charged with four counts of coercion and enticement and attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. Wright County says its identified multiple victims.

According to the Indictment, during various periods between August 9, 2020, and March 25, 2021, Kyaw knowingly enticed and coerced four minor victims using the internet and cell phones to engage in sexual activity.

The FBI Office in Pittsburgh, PA,  says it’s looking for other victims of Kyaw. Police say he allegedly preyed on teenagers on Snapchat by allegedly enticing underage females to produce and transmit sexually explicit videos and photos. The FBI is also looking for anyone who may have had contact with someone with the usernames Savnxh, jokerxkris, krxs.com, or variations of these usernames. Investigators say these were not the only usernames used to contact victims.

Victims were contacted through text message in which the person would pose as Snapchat support stating that the account was logged in from an IP address that was not their own. The victims were then asked for login in credentials or a reset password code, and in some instances, the PIN for the “My Eyes Only” folder. Once the information was received, the account would be taken over, and the abuser would save the photos.

Contact may also have been made through catfishing. The subject would pose as a bisexual female, age 14-16 years old, on various friend-finding platforms. The conversations would move from the platform to Snapchat, where nude images would be exchanged. After the exchange of photographs, or after the subject accessed and obtained nude pictures from the victim’s Snapchat account, a separate account would add the victim and begin attempting to extort the victim by initiating the “7-Day Challenge.” This challenge included the victim producing increasingly demeaning sexual photographs and videos for the next seven days.

If the victim did not participate in the challenge, the subject threatened to send nude images to their family and friends.

If you, your minor dependent(s), or anyone you know has been victimized by Kaung Myat Kyaw or has information relevant to this investigation, please visit fbi.gov/7dc and complete a short questionnaire.

If you know of someone else who Kaung Myat Kyaw has possibly victimized, please encourage them to complete the form themselves.

According to prosecutors, the FBI, Fairfax County Police Department, and Wright County, Minnesota Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says it’s very proud of the work of its investigators and very proud of the ability of its deputies and investigators to work with other agencies, including their federal partners.
