(KNSI) — Just before the next round of snow starts, the final crash totals from Monday’s storm system are in.
The Minnesota State Patrol says between noon on Sunday and 5:30 p.m. Monday, they responded to a total of 219 crashes, 364 spinouts, 25 jackknifed semis, and 34 injury crashes. None of the injuries were serious or fatal.
For a while Monday afternoon, the northwest part of the state was under a no travel advisory due to heavy snow, blowing snow, whiteout conditions, and slick roads.
Another round of snow is expected for Tuesday. A winter weather advisory is in place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but the area that was under the no travel advisory is not affected.
