(KNSI) – An SUV was hit by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train injuring two men. The accident was reported around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Otter Tail County near Perham.
The sheriff’s office says a 2001 Ford Explorer driven by 39-year-old Johnathan Schall of Darfur was crossing the railroad tracks at County Road 80 and Pikewood Lane, near the Perham Airport.
According to the sheriff’s office, Schall and his passenger, 36-year-old Travis May, of Audubon, were taken to Perham Health by ambulance with serious injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
