sponsors.
Police officers were able to take 28 children from the Sartell area shopping at Walmart. Sartell Police Chief Jim Hughes says the program helps build police-community relations and helps build trust between kids and police.
He says many kids bought gifts for their parents or other family members, and some got something themselves too.
The presents were paid for with a grant from the Sartell Walmart and a donation from Bernick’s Pepsi.
