(KNSI) — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Willmar.
According to a press release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Willmar police were responding to a 911 call about 4:30 Thursday afternoon of an armed man inside an apartment complex who was threatening to kill a probation officer. The man was found inside the building, and the press release says one officer fired his gun, and another fired his taser. The man was not seriously injured.
He was taken to the hospital in Willmar for treatment and then booked into the Kandiyohi County jail. Formal charges are pending.
The BCA says portions of the incident were captured on bodycam and that crime scene personnel recovered a replica gun at the scene.
No one else was seriously injured.
