(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol says a 49-year-old Pipestone man was hurt after his semi truck rolled on Thursday morning.

According to a crash report from the state patrol, just after 2:00 a.m., Aron David Quilantan was stopped on the side of the road and had turned his semi around to face east on Highway 12 in Gennessee Township in Kandiyohi County when high winds caused his truck to tip over.

Quilantan was taken to Willmar Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. A ten-year-old boy in the truck was not hurt.

According to State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow, from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, the state patrol handled 121 crashes, including 27 injury crashes, one serious injury crash, and one fatal crash. Forty-nine other vehicles ran off the road or spun out, and there were several jackknifed semis.

The high wind warning for the area expired at 6:00 a.m., but a winter weather advisory continues until 10:00 a.m.
