(KNSI) – College students collected and donated cash and personal care items to a shelter for women and children in St. Cloud.
St. Cloud Technical & Community College Leadership Club students collected the donations on campus for Anna Marie’s Alliance from December 6th to the 10th. The club members dropped off the items at Anna Marie’s Alliance on the last day of the drive.

SCTCC Officials say the club members donated much-needed items and raised $300.
“They (Anna Marie’s Alliance staff) were incredibly thankful and appreciative there, plus gave us an in-depth tour of the facility,” said Steve Nusbaum, the club advisor and academic advisor at SCTCC’s TRIO Student Support Services.
According to a press release, the Leadership Club allows students to develop their leadership skills through leading, cultural awareness, promoting and facilitating a campus climate supportive of academic, social, and personal success.
Anna Marie’s Alliance is a nonprofit organization providing safety, shelter, support, and referral services to survivors of domestic violence and their children throughout Minnesota since 1979.
