(KNSI) – A woman already facing murder charges is accused of killing a second woman in St. Cloud.
A Stearns County Grand Jury indicted Angela Renee Jones on one count of first and second-degree murder for the shooting death of 28-year-old Janesa Lashay Harris. Harris was found shot to death in her apartment in the 1400-block of 12th Avenue North in St. Cloud on June 2nd. The criminal complaint says Harris actually died on May 31st.
Last summer, Harris’s stepmother, Breonda Alexander, spoke with KNSI News and said Harris moved to St. Cloud from Milwaukee. She says Harris was a loving, outgoing person with a very recognizable laugh. She says Harris had a good heart, which would sometimes put her in difficult positions, but she liked to help out anyway. Alexander added that even though Harris had struggles, nobody’s perfect, and Janesa did not deserve what happened to her. Friday, Alexander told KNSI News she was very happy and thankful to have some answers.
Bail for the 33-year-old Jones was set at $2 million without conditions or $1 million with conditions. Jones and three others were previously arrested and charged with the shooting death of 25-year-old Keisa Marie Lange of Litchfield, whose body was found June 3rd in the 4300-block of Cooper Avenue South. Jones has been charged with aiding and abetting murder in that case.
