(KNSI) – Kimball High School went into a soft lockdown Friday morning as a suspected armed individual left a domestic disturbance and threatened to go to the High School.

According to the press release, at 11:30 Friday morning, Wright County Sheriff Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in Southside Township in the area of Highway 55 and Nevens Avenue. They were informed by the reporting individual that the male suspect, later identified as 43-year-old Joseph Anderson of Maple Lake, had left the scene on foot and threatened to go to Kimball High School. He was reportedly suicidal and possibly armed.

Both the Wright and Sterns County Sheriff’s Offices worked with Kimball High School administration to secure the school until the suspect was located.

Anderson was located about 12:45 pm, arrested without incident, and booked into the Wright County Jail on probable cause of Domestic Assault.
