(KNSI) – Amazon’s St. Cloud facility is up and running just in time for the holiday season. Amazon’s St. Cloud Delivery Station opened on November 18th. Since then, it’s been busy sorting, shipping, and delivering hundreds of packages in Central Minnesota. According to Amazon, delivery stations are the final stops before packages are delivered to people’s doorsteps.
The St. Cloud Delivery Station opened with around 50 employees, 40 delivery service drivers, and some “flex” drivers. The company expects to grow as it ramps up its staff numbers and incoming packages. Amazon says they’re looking for more workers and offer several flexible shifts and driver routes at the St. Cloud facility.
“We launched with a motivated team ready to deliver on Amazon’s customer promise. I couldn’t be happier with the community developing within this facility, it’s a truly great place to be. It means a lot to us to know we serve friends, family, and neighbors where we live in the greater St. Cloud area,” Operations Manager Nick Lahti explained. Lahti is a St. John’s University graduate and military veteran.
