(KNSI) – For the first time, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is actively going out into the community to recruit people to fill its ranks.
According to a press release, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a hiring event in Albany on Friday evening and in Cold Spring on Saturday to reach residents throughout the county. Members of the sheriff’s office and human resources will answer questions and hold walk-in interviews. Stearns County is looking for jail staff, deputies, and 911 dispatchers.
“We want to get out in our county and reach residents who may not otherwise think about working at the Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff Steve Soyka. “We need help representing every corner of this county and are looking for applicants who have always dreamed of serving and protecting their community. This is a chance to represent the great county we live in.”
This is the first time the Sheriff’s Office has taken recruitment efforts out to surrounding cities.
