(KNSI) – A St. Cloud area law firm wants to make sure you have a safe ride home if you’ve had too much to drink over the Thanksgiving weekend. Bradshaw and Bryant Law Offices sponsor the Safe Ride Home Campaign. Attorney Mike Bryant says starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and going through Sunday morning, and you can get a ride home from a St. Cloud bar.
“You call Yellow Cab. You ask for a responsible ride home, and Bradshaw and Bryant will take care of the first $10 of the fee. And for a lot of people, that gets them home safe, and they don’t have to pay anything.”
Bryant talked about why the law firm decided to sponsor the free rides.
“A number of years ago, we looked at the numbers and found that the highest DUI rates were on Thanksgiving weekend. People see their friends. People see their families, and people aren’t prepared when they go out. And as a result, we end up with people getting DUIs.”
