(KNSI) – The Tri-County Humane Society’s 33rd annual Companion Walk for the Animals was a success and raised more than $47,000, according to officials. This year’s theme was Mardi Paws. The fundraiser was held in September.

The Tri-County Humane Society was very excited to host the walk in person this year after being unable to last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The animal shelter and its volunteers rallied together to collect pledges, donate money and auction items, bid in its auction and made the event is a success.

Organizers want to give a huge thank you to the walkers and pledgers who each individually raised over $500 for the animals: Vicki Davis, Emily Bezdicek, Jerry Kenning, Colleen DeGroat, Dorein Johnson, Becky Coulter, Stephanie Otto, Kris Stewart, Olivia Schomer, Linnea Lang, Taylor Heim, Kevin Woeste, Jan Hovda, Joyce Solt, Kelly Werner, Angie Koshiol, Tracy & Thomas Mayers, and Kelli Schuh, and Tracey Worzala.

Becky Coulter was our grand-prize winner of the catering package for six people with Jules’ Bistro.
