(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is holding its inaugural greeting card design contest.

Kids ages 12 and under are being asked to submit their drawings to create an image for the front of the department’s greeting card that will be mailed out to other law enforcement agencies, sponsors and other various officials. The image should be original artwork with a winter-themed picture that incorporates the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office in some way. For example, the image can include winter activities with sheriff’s deputies, the official badge, a squad car or a department K9 officer.

According to the Stearns County website, “The design should portray positive police and community relationships. They want children to understand that they are committed to their well-being, safety, and security; their job is much more than writing tickets and arresting people.”

The minimum size is 5″ by 7,” and the maximum size is 8.5″ by 11,” and both horizontal and vertical formats will be accepted.

Artwork can be submitted in person or by mail at:

Stearns County Sheriff’s Office
