Morrison County Traffic Stop Yields One Pound of Suspected Methamphetamine

(KNSI) — A 44-year-old Pine River man is behind bars after the Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a traffic stop turned up suspected methamphetamine.

On Saturday, deputies conducting an ongoing drug investigation in Cass County and surrounding areas and the Minnesota State Patrol stopped a car near Motley in Morrison County. Police detained the driver and searched the car.

Investigators say they found roughly a pound of suspected crystal methamphetamine in the vehicle.

He was arrested and is awaiting formal charges.

KNSI News does not typically name suspects until they have been charged.
