(KNSI) – Coborn’s Incorporated will close its grocery stores and other retail locations on Thanksgiving Day. According to the St. Cloud company’s press release, Coborn’s wants employees to spend the holiday with their families.

The closed stores include all Coborn’s, Cash Wise, Marketplace Foods and Hornbacher’s grocery stores. Coborn’s owned liquor stores, coffee shops, online grocery pick-up and delivery, car washes and warehouse operations will also be closed.

Self-service fuel pumps at Little Dukes, Coborn’s Express and Holiday Station stores will remain open for holiday travelers.

Stores will close at their normal time on Wednesday, November 25th and re-open on Friday, November 26th at their regular time.

“We are grateful for the remarkable work ethic and incredible dedication our employees have demonstrated this past year,” said Chief Operating Officer Dave Meyer. “Our employees have a strong commitment that has not gone unnoticed, particularly over these past many months and we know that our employees make Coborn’s, Inc. a great place to work. We know they’ll appreciate having the holiday to spend with family and friends.”

Coborn’s joins other companies like Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Kohls in closing on Thanksgiving.

Coborn’s has nearly 9,000 employees across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Michigan. Coborn also owns fuel, liquor, video and pharmacy locations.
