(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol says a 62-year-old truck driver from Maple Grove was killed in a rear-end crash between Saint Michael and Rogers Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say Dean Johnson was driving a Sterling Straight Truck west on Interstate 94 around 1 p.m. when he rear-ended an SUV, driven by a woman from Fargo. The truck then hit a barrier in the apex on the off-ramp to Highway 241, and the truck rolled onto its side.
Officials say Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the SUV wasn’t hurt.
The crash caused traffic to be rerouted for more than four hours.
