(KNSI) — Three people were hospitalized after a crash involving an ambulance in Milaca Township Sunday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says just before 7:30, the ambulance had its emergency lights and sirens activated and had a patient in the back, and the driver slowed for a stop sign. They proceeded into the intersection when they crashed with a Toyota Prius.

The 65-year-old driver of the Prius and the 79-year-old ambulance patient were both taken to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The 32-year-old ambulance driver was taken to Princeton Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The other paramedic in the ambulance, a 36-year-old woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries but did not require further medical treatment.

Everyone is expected to be OK.
