(KNSI) — A 28-year-old Waite Park man is jailed after allegedly exposing himself to a woman and a teenager.
Eduardo Antonio Lopez is accused of exposing himself in the hallway of an apartment building on the 800 block of 7th Street South in Waite Park on Monday.
According to the criminal complaint, police received a call from someone who told officers they received a phone call from a neighbor who alerted them to a man standing at her door. The woman, whose first language is not English, explained to officers she didn’t know the correct word to describe what she saw and said she looked out the peephole and witnessed the man was in the hall, holding his “thing.” She said he had done this the week before in the same building.
The daughter told officers her mother said the man from the week before was at the door and to call the police. She said she looked out and saw Lopez with his pants around his ankles and was holding his penis with one hand. She told officers she was deeply disturbed by what she saw and was concerned because there were children who lived in the building.
Officers made contact with Lopez, who allegedly said he did not live in the building and denied exposing himself but said he had used drugs earlier in the day. Police arrested Lopez and said he had a glass pipe in his possession that is commonly used to smoke narcotics.
Lopez is charged with one count of indecent exposure, one count of indecent exposure in the presence of a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
