(KNSI) – Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers opened its first store in Central Minnesota on Tuesday. The store opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It’s the first Cane’s outside of the Twin Cities and the ninth in Minnesota. Raising Cane’s Regional Leader for Midwest Restaurants Danny Caudle told KNSI News why the company picked St. Cloud.

“We saw a lot of growth opportunity here with great crew members. We were able to give over 100 jobs to the folks here. So, we knew we’d be able to serve some Caniacs here and continue to grow this market. And we knew that this would be a fantastic city for us to continue to build our brand in Minnesota.”

The company’s saying is “One Love,” and Caudle says it represents their fresh, never frozen chicken finger meals, which is their focus, and he says they do it better than anyone else.

“I’ve been with Cane’s for 14 years and to me, it’s the perfect bite. It’s the chicken. It’s the sauce. It’s the culture. It’s the atmosphere. It’s just fun all around. So definitely, worth coming and checking out.”

Gabby from St. Cloud was one of the first 100 customers and said Cane’s grand opening made this a double special day.

“Today is actually my birthday. So, it’s like Cane’s open for me. So, I was super excited already to come here for my birthday. It’s how I wanted to celebrate it. I’m so excited. I’ll be here all the time.”

Tristen from St. Cloud was there early and said having a Cane’s in town made his day.

“New restaurants are always great. But Cane’s is the happiest. I’m so happy. It’s so good. I get off late, and so I’m happy that they’re open till midnight every night.”

During the grand opening, customers can is the first in Minnesota to feature a double drive-thru. Raising Cane’s is open every day from 10 a.m. to midnight at 2635 Division Street West in St. Cloud.
