(KNSI) — A former ROCORI High School teacher and coach has died.

84-year-old Bob Brink passed away Saturday. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, which, according to an obituary, he had been battling the last few years.

Brink taught at ROCORI for 32 years. He was also the boys basketball coach. In that role, he led 14 teams to the boys’ state basketball tournaments, winning the Class AA State Championship in 1988. Brink was inducted into the Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1998 and Minnesota State High School League Hall of Fame in 2007. Brink racked up 22 conference championships, nine Coach of the Year honors, and had a career record of 936 wins and 327 losses.

His funeral is set for Friday, October 15th.
