(KNSI) – Foggy conditions are being blamed for a rollover school bus accident in rural Stearns County.
Deputies Garret Okerstrom, Shirley Zwack, and Lt. Kellan Hemmesch responded to the bus crash early Friday morning on County Road 18 near County Road 25 in North Fork Township, about six miles north of Brooten.
Deputies say 73-year-old David Paul Fischer was starting his route and was the only person on the bus. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the Brooten man veered off the road and hit a field approach.
Due to the impact, the bus ended up rolling over onto its roof. Investigators say Fischer was taken to the Glenwood Hospital for treatment of non‐life‐threatening injuries.
