(KNSI) — A 47-year-old St. Cloud woman is jailed and charged with second degree assault after she allegedly hit her neighbor upside the head with a metal pole.
According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a home on the 1100 block of 13th Street South on September 29th. The 911 caller said their neighbor, Jodi Behrman, hit his wife on the head with a pole.
Police spoke to the woman, who said Behrman had repeatedly come onto their property and meddled with their cars. They told investigators she had become increasingly aggressive when they asked Behrman to leave. The woman said she physically tried to remove Behrman from their property when Behrman grabbed a metal pole and, holding it like a baseball bat, swung it at the woman’s head. Police say the woman had a large knot where she had been hit with the pole.
The woman gave police a video recording of the assault, where, according to the criminal complaint, “an audible clang is heard” when the woman is hit with the pole.
Behrman will make her first court appearance Friday morning.
