(KNSI) — Local schools in communities served by St. Cloud-based Coborn’s Incorporated stores just got a hefty donation, thanks to the company’s MORE School Rewards Program.

The company says it has donated $150,000 to schools within the communities where Coborn’s, Cash Wise, or Marketplace Foods have a presence. The money will go toward efforts that support ending hunger, benefit child health and wellness, and enrichment opportunities for kids.

According to a press release, guests enrolled in the MORE School Rewards Program as part of the MORE Rewards Program could designate a school to support within the rewards mobile app or website. As enrolled guests shopped one of these stores between September-May during this past school year, they earned points for their designated school when items under various brand names were bought. Each participating school received a percentage share of the available dollars based on the number of points earned at the end of the 2021 school year.

Diana Barr, Director of Digital and Loyalty Marketing for Coborn’s, Inc., said the MORE School Rewards Program “allows us to give back to our communities in another way. We are proud to partner with area schools to present them with these checks which provide meaningful support to child education.”

MORE School Rewards is now available for the 2021-2022 school year. Guests who wish to participate can select the school they would like to support through the MORE Rewards app or by clicking here.
