(KNSI) – A St. Cloud State University graduate will return to campus next month to share the story of the tragic loss of his daughter.

Monte Fronk is a 2007 graduate of SCSU and Emergency Management Coordinator for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, whose daughter, Nada Fronk, was murdered by her boyfriend in May 2021.

Nada was missing and trafficked during much of her youth. After being rescued, she earned her high school diploma. Monte will share his daughter’s story about her life. There will be time set aside at the end of the presentation for audience questions.

Honoring Nada Fronk: A Native Father’s Experience with His Missing and Murdered Indigenous Daughter runs from 2-3:15 p.m. Thursday, October 7th in the Atwood Memorial Center’s Voyageurs room at 651 1st Avenue South, St. Cloud. Parking is available in the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.

The event is free and open to the public. COVID-19 precautions – masking and physical distancing – will be observed.
