(KNSI) – Two St. Cloud companies have been honored for going the extra mile for their employees serving in uniform.
Leighton Broadcasting and St. Cloud Orthopedics received the Above and Beyond Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee.
The award recognizes employers who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees with additional benefits such as giving full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits and other similar benefits.
Less than 10% of employers who their service members nominate get the award. Twenty-six companies received the Above and Beyond Award in 2021.
