Level Three Sex Offender Moves to Sauk Rapids

(KNSI) – A level three sex offender has moved to Sauk Rapids.

According to the Sauk Rapids Police Department, Steven Lee Odelius has served his prison term and was released on October 20, 2020. The 55-year-old moved to the Sauk Rapids on September 2. He is living in the area around 2nd Avenue South and 3rd Street South.

Police say Odelius was convicted of sexually abusing two boys who were unknown to him. Law enforcement says he approached the boys in public places.

A Community Notification Meeting has been scheduled for 6:00 pm, Monday, September 20th. The meeting will be held in the Sauk Rapids Government Center located at 250 Summit Ave N, Sauk Rapids, MN 56379. Representatives from the Department of Corrections and the Sauk Rapids Police Department will be available to provide you with useful information on public safety.
