UPDATE: 6:10 p.m. (KNSI) – According to the Sartell Police Department, a standoff has come to an end and a person was taken into custody. No one was hurt during the ordeal which lasted several hours. Police were called to the home for a person dealing with an emotionally disturbed person. We will bring more information as soon as it becomes available.
UPDATE: 4:15 p.m. (KNSI) – According to reports, officers are dealing with an emotionally disturbed person with a knife. District 748 told KNSI News that the individual involved isn’t connected to the school, and buses are getting rerouted as needed. Some students could be late getting home.

(KNSI) – A large police presence has closed a street in Sartell.
According to the police department, police are in the area of 2 1/2 Street North. As a result, 10th Avenue and 2 1/2 Street North will be closed at 9th Ave North to Pinecone Road and at Cheval Drive.
Police ask the public to avoid the area stay out of a part of the while officer are at a scene.
Police say they’ve contacted the school district and are working on getting students home safely if they live in the closure area.
Again, police are asking people to avoid the area. We will bring more information when it becomes available.
