(KNSI) – The Coleman Company announced it is closing its Sauk Rapids facility.
In a statement from a spokesperson from Newell Brands, the Coleman Factory’s parent company, and emailed to KNSI says, “Newell Brands’ Outdoor & Recreation Business has decided to close its Sauk Rapids, MN facility as the company exits the StearnsĀ® industrial and government line of flotation products at the end of this year and makes manufacturing organizational changes to the recreational personal flotation devices business.
Employees at the Sauk Rapids facility have been notified of the closure. These decisions are not made lightly, and we are grateful to the Sauk Rapids team for their hard work and commitment to our brands, and we’re committed to doing all we can to support them through this transition.”
This is the second large local employer to announce its closure this week.
Direct mail and marketing company IWCO Direct, based in Chanhassen, announced Tuesday it will close its Little Falls office by January 1st, 2022. IWCO Direct employs 330 workers at its Little Falls office.
