(KNSI) – A St. Cloud radio station will be serving drinks at a local brewery to raise money for a local nonprofit helping kids.

Kat and JJ Holiday from 104.7 KCLD’s The Playhouse morning show will be tending for a cause at Beaver Island‘s Taproom in downtown St. Cloud on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. to raise money for the Miracle League of Central Minnesota. The organization helps disabled kids get on the baseball field and play ball. Kat is asking everyone to stop by and support the kids.

“We know the importance for these athletes. I mean, I was an athlete growing up. My kid is a hardcore athlete, and just to tell him that he couldn’t play a certain sport because of whatever reason is a conversation that no parent should have with their child. So it’s nice to know that these kids are given that opportunity.”

Scheels will be giving away prizes, and there will be meat and cheese trays available from Maneas Meats in Sauk Rapids. Part of everything sold during the event will go to the Miracle League of Minnesota.

The Miracle League of Central Minnesota plays their games at Whitney Park in St. Cloud.

The event is part of the KCLD Cares initiative, which works with Central Minnesota organizations to make a difference in their community.
