(KNSI) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota’s vice president of resource development has been honored as one of five inaugural inductees into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Greater Midwest Area Council Hall of Fame.

Last month, Deb Nebosis was one of five Boys & Girls Clubs leaders from Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota to receive the honor.

Nebosis started her tenure with the Club in 1999, now working to bring in $2 million for the local organization annually.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota calls Nebosis “most deserving” of the honor, saying “she has given her heart and soul” to the organization.

“Whenever program funding needs arise, Nebosis is always ready to tackle them head-on,” reads a statement from the organization. “In 2019, we launched a new, locally developed program called CareerSTART that required the Club raise an additional $250,000 annually. Nebosis was able to successfully secure funding for this project, over and above her annual fundraising goals, because she knows this program will positively transform the lives of youth, and even 22 years into her career at the Club, she is still passionately committed to helping youth build their great futures.”
