(KNSI) – A car show that aims to help out a Garfield family with its medical bills is happening this weekend in Parkers Prairie.

The Rip and Roar Car Show will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Parkers Prairie City Park. There is no fee to enter, but the Rust Junkies Motor Club will be taking free will donations for Grace Johnson, who was born in November 2020 with multiple health issues.

According to a member of the Rust Junkies, Grace was born via C-section when her mother came down with a bad infection. Grace then had to battle that infection, then meningitis, which affected her vital organs. She survived emergency surgery and will, at some point, need a heart transplant.

Funds raised will go toward her medical expenses. Donations are also being accepted at Vikings Savings Bank in Alexandria.
