(KNSI) – Catholic Charities’ Senior Dining program has scheduled its August Frozen Meal Distribution pop-up events at 27 locations around Central Minnesota.
Seniors who complete a registration form are able to take home up to 30 prepared, frozen meals each month. Catholic Charities says there is no cost to seniors who need meals, but they do take donations.
Frozen meal pop-ups are happening next week in Albany, Ogilvie, Mora, Brainerd, Wadena and Hinckley. Frozen meal distribution in St. Cloud will happen on August 9th, 10th and 24th.

- Albany: Monday, August 2nd from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pondview Estates, 334 Golfview Drive
- Ogilvie: Tuesday, August 3rd from 11 a.m. to noon at Ogilvie Museum, 102 N. Hill Avenue
- Mora: Tuesday, August 3rd from noon to 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 551 S. Wood Street
- Brainerd: Thursday, August 5th from 11 a.m. to noon at Brainerd Lakes Salvation Army, 208 S. 5th Street
- Wadena: Thursday, August 5th from 1 to 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 403 2nd Street SE
- Hinckley: Friday, August 6th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Hinckley Community Center, 102 Dunn Avenue N
- St. Cloud: Monday, August 9th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 340 5th Avenue S
- Foley: Monday, August 9th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Foley Area CARE, 321 6th Avenue
- St. Cloud: Tuesday, August 10th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Catholic Charities Emergency Services, 157 Roosevelt Road
- Sartell: Wednesday, August 11th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Sartell Community Center, 850 19th Street S
- Willow River: Thursday, August 12th from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8115 Lake Street
- Pillager: Thursday, August 12th from noon to 2 p.m. (frozen meal distribution) and noon to 4 p.m. (NAPS distribution) at Pillager Area Family Center, 305 Fir Avenue
- Per Catholic Charites’ press release: “Through the Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS), Minnesota’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Second Harvest Heartland will provide a box of nutritious food to low-income seniors 60 years old and over. Program participants are given a box of highly nutritious food that may include canned fruits, vegetables and juices, milk, cheese, canned meat, peanut butter or dried beans, cereal, rice or pasta.”
