(KNSI) — Pineview Park BMX is hosting a watch party to help cheer on local Olympian Alise Post Willoughby, where her racing career began.
Officials with the park said on Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., local riders will be practicing BMX and showcasing their high flying skills. That will be followed by a live stream of the Olympics BMX opening motos on the big screen at 8:00.
Thursday, July 29th, local BMX racing starts at 7:00 at Pineview Park. The Olympic BMX finals will be live-streamed on the big screen beginning at 8:00. Alise and Team USA will be competing at that time in the medal rounds. Alise won a silver medal in Rio in 2016.
Officials with the track say there will be concessions, burgers, and hot dogs available.
Alise began her racing career at the age of six at Pineview Park BMX at her brother’s urging. She turned pro ten years later.
