Blattner Honored as Second Leading Solar Utility Installer in U.S.

(KNSI) – Blattner Company in Avon is the number two solar installation group in the nation.

The annual ranking of more than 400 companies is put together by Solar Power World, a leading solar industry publication.

Blattner Company Communication’s Director Christine Huston says its success is thanks to everyone they work with within the industry.

“We are just immensely thankful for our employees, and our customers who really contributed to the success of lattner we know, it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work, especially thinking about everything that everybody went through in 2020 to get us to this point. So we are immensely thankful for all of that hard work.”

In 2020, Blattner Company installed enough solar panels to produce 1,358 megawatts of power or enough to power 420,000 homes.

Huston says the industry is expected to keep growing, and several factors are driving its growth.

“The cost of solar and that energy generation is very competitive within the marketplace. And there’s also the increased concern over climate change and solar energy can help create a better tomorrow with that clean energy.”

The company has installed 5,424 megawatts since it began working on large solar projects in 2010.

According to Blattner, the U.S. solar industry grew 43% in 2020, installing more solar panels across the country than any other year on record.

The U.S. solar market is expected to quadruple by 2030.

The Top Solar Contractors list is developed each year by Solar Power World to honor the work of solar installers in the United States.

Solar firms in the utility, commercial and residential markets are ranked by the number of kilowatts installed in the previous year.

Companies are grouped and listed by specific services, markets, and states.
