(KNSI) – A Richmond man was killed after getting ejected during an ATV crash on Sunday night.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says first responders were called around 7:30 p.m. to the intersection of County Road 42 and Clear Lake Road in Farming Township for a side-by-side ATV that had gone off the road and rolled.
Deputies arrived and found a 2019 Polaris Ranger driven by 62-year-old Robert Dingmann left the roadway, struck a culvert, and became airborne.
Investigators say Dingmann was not wearing his seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.
He was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital, where he died.
The crash remains under investigation.
