(KNSI) – A 17-year-old St. Cloud boy is dead after a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon.

Crash investigators with the St. Cloud Police Department say the teen was driving his motorcycle west on Veterans Drive about 3:30 when the bike went up on the sidewalk after it crossed through the intersection at 25th Avenue. The drive continued on the sidewalk and lost control a few yards west of the intersection, crashing into an electrical pole.

No other vehicles were involved. The teen’s name was not released.

‘(KNSI) – A person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle, a vehicle, and a pole in St. Cloud.

The crash happened at the intersection on 25th Avenue North and Veterans Drive late Thursday afternoon.

An officer on the scene told KNSI News that there was a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle.

A tweet from the St. Cloud Police Department says the motorcycle crashed into a pole, and the driver was killed.

The intersection was closed briefly but has since been reopened.
