(KNSI)- Newsweek has come out with its top hospitals list, and there are three Minnesota facilities that rank in the top 100.
Coming in at number one in the United States and the world was Mayo Clinic in Rochester. With a score of over 98%, Mayo Clinic was chosen based on recommendations from other medical experts, patient surveys, and other key performance indicators such as cost per patient case, earnings, growth, the average length of stay, equipment utilization, and patient wait time.
The second highest ranked Minnesota hospital on the list was CentraCare St. Cloud, coming in at number 45. That beat out the University of Minnesota Medical Center, which ranked at number 67, and was the only other Minnesota hospital in the top 100.
