
SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) —
The Sartell Sabres advanced to the semi-finals of the class AAA State Tournament on a Steven Brinkerhoff walk-off home run in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Albert Lea built a 2-0 lead in the 5th inning taking advantage of some Sartell errors.
The Sabres scored in the 5th and tied the game on a Calen O’Connell RBI double.
Steven Brinkerhoff belted a line drive walk-off home run in the bottom of the 7th to give the Sabres a 3-2 victory. Brinkerhoff was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.
The Sabres will play tomorrow at 2:30 against the winner of the Sauk Rapids Mahtomedi matchup.
