(KNSI) – Another weather record was tied Thursday, June 10th, as the historic heatwave that has settled over Minnesota continues.

The official high temperature hit 96 degrees, tying the old record set in 1933. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Thursday as the combination of the heat and humidity will push the heat index or “feels like factor” up over 100 in many areas.

The National Weather Service says St. Cloud hit a high of 96 on Friday, June 4th, beating the old record for that day of 95, which was set in 1900. The high for June 5th, 96 degrees, tied the record high for the day, which was set in 1922. That day also set a record for the warmest low temperature. The recorded low temp for the 5th was 71. That beat the old record of 68 set in 1932.
