(KNSI) – One record fell, and one record was tied this past weekend.
The National Weather Service says St. Cloud hit a high of 96 on Friday, beating the old record for that day of 95, which was set in 1900.
Saturday’s high of 96 tied the record high for the day, which was set in 1922. Saturday also set a record for warmest low temperature. The recorded low temp for Saturday was 71. That beat the old record of 68 set in 1932.
Sunday’s high of 92 missed the record by five degrees.
Today won’t be nearly as hot as the daily record high temp for today is 101. That record was set in 2011.
Highs will be in the low to mid 90’s most of this week.
