(KNSI) – A St. Cloud Representative will host a town hall later this month on the 2021 Minnesota Legislative Session.
State Representative Dan Wolgamott will be joined by House Majority Leader Ryan Winkler (Golden Valley), focusing on the outcome of the Legislative Session.
Wolgamott’s office stated the town hall is a chance for the lawmaker to connect with constituents about what’s been accomplished for St. Cloud during the session.
Wolgamott stated he’s excited to engage in meaningful conversation about the future of our community.
The town hall will be held on Monday, June 28, at Pantown Brewing Company, 408 37th Ave N, St. Cloud, starting at 6:00 p.m. and going to 7:30 p.m.
No RSVP is required, and the event is open to all members of the community.
Lawmakers failed to pass a two-year budget before the mandatory adjournment deadline, leading to a special session. The special session is scheduled for June 14.
The budget is projected to be around $52 billion.
Elected officials missed a self-imposed budget deadline on Friday for so-called working groups debating how to cut taxes and spend billions of taxpayer dollars on schools, public safety, health programs, and other government areas.
A few budget bills have been completed. They are higher education, commerce and energy, and the Outdoor Heritage Fund, which pays for outdoors restoration projects.
