(KNSI) – Officers were able to keep a man from taking his life on Thursday night.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department Twitter account, officers were sent to a suicidal call after a suicide hotline asked officers to be sent.
Police found the man holding a knife to his throat.
Officers talked him down and got him to get help at the Emergency Room willingly.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, this type of call isn’t uncommon, and neither was the resolution.
