(KNSI) – Minnesota’s new COVID-19 cases continue to stay on the downtrend as nearly 53 percent of state residents have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose so far.
Between Tuesday and Friday, the Minnesota Department of Health confirmed 757 new positive cases. Sixty-five of those cases were recorded in the five-county St. Cloud area.
Nineteen more Minnesotans have died from COVID-19 this week, including one Benton County resident, one Sherburne County resident and one Wright County resident.
Currently, 252 people are hospitalized in the state for COVID-19 complications.
More 2.9 million Minnesotans are now vaccinated against the novel coronavirus. That’s 64.9 percent of Minnesotans age 16 and older.
