Deputies Giving Away Donuts on National Donut Day

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office will give away free donuts in St. Cloud on National Donut Day.

Deputies will be at the intersection of 25th Avenue and Division Street on Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Deputy Eric Schultz was a guest of KNSI’s Bob Hughes and talked about how you can get your donuts.

“Roll down your window. Come up close to the curb of the sidewalk. We will hand you a free donut. We cannot go into the roadway. So, you need to get up along the sidewalk area.”

Schultz talked about why the sheriff’s office giving away the popular police food.

“Well, it’s just a way for us to go out and thank the community, let them know that we are here, you know, to help them and serve them and what a great way to stop by and get a free donut.”

He says 1000 glazed donuts were donated by Kwik Trip for the giveaway.
